Obituary of Greta Eileen Reader

Mrs. Greta Eileen Reader (Hunter), age 94, of Bowmanville, passed away Thursday morning September 12, 2024, at the Bowmanville Hospital.

She was born November 24, 1929 in Dorchester Ontario, a daughter of Roy and Mae Hunter.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Ernest Clayton Reader; step daughter Ann Fox (Reader), son Arthur Brayley, daughter Margaret "Peggy" Murray (Brayley), three brothers Russell Hunter, Frank Hunter, Jack Hunter; and sister Jean Torgrimson (Hunter).

Eileen, is survived by her three step daughters; Daisy Meeks (Reader), Cathy DeWulf (Reader), Dawna Rodney (Reader) and step son, Joe Reader, along with daughter Susan "Misty" Getz (Brayley) and son Rick Reader.

Eileen was grandmother to thirteen grand children and great grandmother to many great grandchildren.

Friends and family may pay their respects at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St., Bowmanville, on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 from 1 – 3 p.m., followed by a short Celebration of Life at A Stones Throw Pub & Grill, 1550 Bowmanville Ave Unit 10, Bowmanville, from 3:30 p.m. onwards.

She will be put to rest on Sunday October 27th, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Bowmanville Cemetery.
