Aunt Eileen, aka the Roadrunner. Always on the move and at mock speed. We spent many hours at the farm in Dorchester teasing each other and laughing. She hated being called Greta. She would raise her fist and tell me she would get me or in some cases chase me around the yard.
As my Dad's (Russell) little sister she was teased unmercifully by us. But she gave it right back to us.
She looks so much like her Mother and brother Jack. She was the last of the Hunter 5.
She will be fondly remembered. Will miss her teasing and shared laughs. A true matriarchal figure to her extended family.
My heartfelt condolences to her family.
Her niece, Cheryl Hunter
Sorry to hear of Eileen’s passing. I worked with Eileen at the hospital where she was a helpful nurse. She had a quick smile and sense of humour. She’ll be missed. Pat Drysdale
My memory of Aunt Eileen is that she was almost always smiling, was a bit sassy -- in a good kind of way -- and fun. Most of our visiting was done at the farm, Grandpa and Grandma Hunter's or at the Port Bruce cottage. She will be missed.
