Obituary of Lydia Zaika

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mom, Sister and Grandmother Lydia Zaika in the early morning of May 6th, 2024. She was a source of love, strength, and laughter to our family and will be profoundly missed.

Lydia (predeceased by her parents Walter and Nastia Zaika) is survived by her children Nancy Johnson (Thierry), Aaron Tkaczuk (Carrie-Sam), Sarah Jenniskins (Steve) and siblings Vera Wolowec (Walter), Nina Zaika, Helen Gibson (Phil), and Dan Zaika (Jackie). She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren Jeremy, Anthony, Anastasia, Oliver, Nicholas, Sawyer, Lincoln, Landon, and Kaleb.

We invite you to honour her life and join us in celebrating her legacy, which will take place on June 1st, 2024 from 12:00pm-3:00pm at Bella Notte Ristorante 3570 Brock Street North, Whitby, ON LIR 3J4.

Promptly following the reception, Lydia's family will attend a private burial service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Princess Margaret Hospital in memory of Lydia Zaika would be greatly appreciated.
