April and Oliver Gougeon

In memory of a profound and unbreakable bond, we mourn the loss of April and Ollie and their passing after falling ill while on holidays on December 29, 2023

April was a devoted mother and a nurturing spirit, loved by all for her gentle and kind manner.  She was the first one to assist when others were in time of need.  She was a talented lawyer and family was her greatest joy.

April was a much-loved wife to Stephen, mother to Ollie and Wesley, daughter to Diane and Keith Stoker, daughter-in-law to Sandy Gougeon and Stephen Johnstone, sister to Aaron and Adam Stoker.  She was a sister-in-law to Rob (Madeline) Gougeon, and Nicole Stoker.  She was a loving aunt to Ayden, Max, Addison, Nolan, Maximus and Liam.  She was a niece to many loving aunts and uncles as well as having many cousins and a best friend in Erin Kress.

Oliver was a sensitive spirit with a kind heart and an amazing talent for art.  His individuality and uniqueness showed in the many drawings and sketches he loved to do.  He was an amazing big brother and best friend with Wesley.  Ollie’s easy-going personality found him with many friends.

Ollie and his mother shared many traits, kindness and generosity being very prominent.

The impact that both April and Oliver made in their short lives will never be diminished.  Their smiles  could brighten any room.  The amazing memories that they have left for all their family and friends are now truly treasures.

The family would like to thank everyone for the love and support they have received.  Arrangements are going to be private for family. Care is being provided by NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville.  In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Childrens Hospital of Eastern Ontario or Sick Kids.
