Sorry to hear about Peter's death.
I met Peter in August 1992 during a job interview at the Canadian Statesman- he was needing to replace a reporter who had left.
Peter was a meticulous editor and mentor to me, a new reporter fresh out of journalism school from the east coast.
He had a patient soul...he had to, I thought I knew it all! I didn't!
It was through Peter that I learned patience - he sent me to Clarington Council meetings, Rotary Club meetings and Regional Council meetings. Patience provided relationship building, clarity and discernment around the political folks.
When I left the CS behind, I missed his jokes, gentleness and unwavering support.
I don't think I ever saw him angry. Frustrated, yes, but never angry.
Thinking of his next journey plus his family, friends & colleagues present & past. Sending prayers.
