Such happy memories; out at the house in Kedron, up at the lake all of us squashed into that little cabin. Just sitting around, talking and laughing, laughing so hard we would fall off our chairs. I guess that's what I remember the most about Al, laughing with him. Here's to you Al, you were one of the good ones. Lee Anne and Scott you have my deepest sympathy, and the grandkids who I am sure will miss him immensely. I will cherish his memory forever. He was one of the bright spots in my life. With love from Aunt Barb

I have such fond memories of Uncle Alan. He always was smiling and always had such a bit of mischief lurking under the surface. Okay, sometimes that mischief wasn't lurking but in abundance. I will always have a great love for this man even though I hadn't seen him in years. I'm so sorry for your loss, Lee and Scott and all other friends and family. Cathy Viscount (nee Humphries).

Al was on the instructing team when I was a student of the Christopher Leadership Course in 1999. He made a profound and lasting impression on me as a gentle soul, compassionate, generous, and with a great sense of humour. In one class he gave a talk about something very important to him: the coin he had in his pocket. It meant a lot to him as he was a salesman, and was always chasing that next sale. He turned that talk around as he realized it was his children and not the dollar in his pocket that were the most important thing to him. I had never heard a man share in that way before, and I admired him immensely for doing so.
We instructed many classes together and shared lots of laughs. Al, you will be greatly missed by your loving wife Rosemary, your family, and your many friends. Your smile will brighten a corner in heaven.

I enjoyed meeting Al at the Christopher Leadership Annual General Meetings. He always greeted me with a smile, an amusing story and wisdom as an instructor. I am proud to have known Al as a kind, thoughtful and positive friend.
I’m sending my condolences to his wife and family.

I remember meeting Al at my first Christopher Leadership instructor seminar. That weekend his smile and “don’t worry be happy” attitude helped to calm me and went a long way in making me feel welcome. Years later I was happy to see that Al found true love in Rosemary. My deepest condolences to family and friends. We have lost a light that shines like a lighthouse beacon that represents strength, guidance and hope to all that meet it’s radiant light! Shine on Al.
