Obituary of Glen Gordon Hawthorne

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday October 7, 2017 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 66 years

Beloved husband and best friend of Jan.  Cherished father to Erin (Geoff Landry) and Brian.  Fun loving Grandpa to Hannah, Caitlin and Callie Landry.  Loving son of Lillis and the late Gordon Hawthorne.  Very special brother to Helen (Gary Spencer) and Kenneth (Donna).  Outstanding uncle to Sharon (Alex), Heather, Dana (Chris), Steven (Chelsea) and Jamie.  Son-in-law to Doris and the late Jim Smith and brother-in-law to Paul (Sally) Smith.

Glen was devoted to volunteering, both with The Rotary Club of Bowmanville and Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
 

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. Bowmanville, on Friday October 13th from 1 – 3 pm, followed by interment at Bowmanville Cemetery.  There will be a luncheon to follow at Trinity United Church, 116 Church Street Bowmanville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Epilepsy Durham Region would be appreciated by the family.
