Obituary of Michael John Stone

MICHAEL STONE

71, of Hampton, after a lengthy illness, on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Michael leaves his wife, Susan, and sons David (Shannon) and Gareth (Jennifer). Much-loved Grandad to Cooper, Keegan, Sophia and Odessa. He also leaves behind his sister Shirley, her husband John and family, and his brother Andy, his wife Shân and family, all of the UK. Mike spent his last days much like he spent his life: with Susan by his side, listening to a bit of John Prine and having the odd sip of beer.

A private family funeral has been held. A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Thompson Rugby Park, 110 Raglan Road West, Oshawa. In lieu of flowers, please direct any memorial donations to Doctors Without Borders.
