Dear Betty,
We were shocked and saddened to hear of Don's passing. It will not be the same here without Dons wonderful wit, his warm heart for spreading the gospel to all he met, and he will be greatly missed on Tuesday afternoon Jam sessions at Maxwell Commons without Don leading us. We would all wait so impatiently for his return in the winter. Most of all Betty my heart aches for you. May God somehow comfort you.

We were saddened to hear of your loss Betty. Don was a grateful follower of Jesus. We will miss him and his gifts -playing guitar, leading our small group in worship. You and yours are in our thoughts and prayers.

We were so sad to hear of Don's passing. We will sorely miss seeing him at Light and Life Park. We send our love to Betty and family at this difficult time. How blessed we were to know him and to know that he is now with our Savior.

Dearest Betty and family: Ray and I want to express our deepest condolences in the unexpected passing of Don. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.. We met you and Don about four years ago and they were the most memorable years that we know. Ray loved playing music with him and sharing scripture with him whenever they were together. The fun times were special in Florida when they played at the talent show and on the beautification parade and it will certainly not be the same now that he is gone. We know that we will certainly see him again and I think it will be very soon.
We pray that God will continue to surround you in His love and that you will feel His presence every day and be encouraged in the knowledge that you are in our prayers and in our thoughts.
Love in Christ,
Ray and Doris Leonard

Betty and family,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences in the loss of a good husband and father. We always enjoyed fellowship with you folks at Light and Life Park in Florida and at Wesley Acres here in Canada. Don's love of His Saviour Jesus Christ was evident in his daily walk and in his relationship with others. Also, it was evident in his gifted musical talent. He shall be greatly missed by all who knew him. We can't help but wonder if heaven needed another musician. If I could send a message to him I would say, "I thought there was only contemporary music there." I can just see his twinkle and response now, as he would know I would be trying to bug him. Then he would reply and refer to me as 'kid' which he often did. We shall miss the humour and bantering that we often did. May our Lord wrap His arms of love and comfort around you through this time of loss. You are all in our heart and prayers.

I first met Don about 1965, we both worked in General Motors. Don and I became friends and later we became brothers in the Lord .
Don loved music and at a music circle he would work his way to the front of the group, and be ready with a song.
Don loaned me a guitar, taught me three chords and when I learned to play base guitar I became part of his music group. Don also gave
me the courage to sing in public. Don and I have many talks about the Lord especially on our lunch time in G.M.
We have enjoyed many music times at our cottage, there's nothing else like blue grass gospel music echoing over the water.
We, Gwyneth and I have known Betty for longer than I have known Don , so it has been a great friendship over the years.
