Lyn was a great friend and teacher - very supportive and encouraging always. We remember her wonderful smile and great laugh -can hear it still. We had the pleasure of teaching with her for many many years st Parry Sound High School. Great photo of Lyn - looks as though she never changed. We have the lovely book that Lyn gave us at Christmas 1971 with a very meaningful message in it from her, thanking us for our establishing the Out Trip Club; we treasure that. Our deepest sympathy to her family and friends. Sincerely Pat and Richard Poole

My sincere condolences to your family on Lyn's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Lyn in my position at OFSAA when she was the representative from GBSSA on our Board of Directors. We had many laughs together and I always enjoyed her special sense of humour. Lyn truly believed in the OFSAA philosophy of "Education through School Sport" and the students she worked with were very fortunate to have had her as a teacher and coach, because she was a fine educator.
I regret that I was unable to make the Celebration of Life. My thoughts are with you.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Lynn. She was a good friend and colleague during my early days of teaching in Parry Sound. We shared a lot of good times, having dinner parties, playing bridge, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and visiting her beautiful island on Georgian Bay. We had lost touch, but I will always remember her with great affection.

Dear Enid and John,
Please accept our sincere condolences around the passing of Lyn. She was such a friendly fun-loving person. We had numerous conversations in passing at Traditions. Lyn was very kind to Aunt Phyllis too. She is at peace now but her passing leaves a void. Our hearts will remember her and your family.

I was very saddened to hear about Lyn's passing. I know that her time was drawing near, but I never expected it to be quite so near.
I believe in speaking with her at our storytelling gatherings that she lived a very rich life. She was always very supportive of all of us, letting us know what she loved about each of our stories. Always asking where the stories originated and why we chose them (a very inquisitive mind indeed!). I really appreciated her for all her kind words. She will certainly be missed at our storytelling gatherings.
Now she is with the spirits of those passed. She seemed to be well prepared for her journey. I am glad to hear that her passing was peaceful.
It is still a great sorrow to lose a sister, an aunt and a friend. I hope that all of your sorrows lessen, but your memories of Lyn remain vivid and alive.

So sorry that Lynn has left us. Jim worked with Lynn at Parry Sound High School.
She was such a competent & kind person. One to whom I would have complete confidence in sending any student, troubled or not and know that that student would be a better person for coming in contact with Lynn.
Her passing on removes a marvelous human being from this present world but what a lasting legacy her presence has left with all of us that knew her.

Lyn, at 23, was already a fantastic phys-ed teacher, enthusiastic coach and caring mentor. Pictured here with the St. Joseph's High School basketball team that won the Catholic girls' school basketball championship in 1963. Her beautiful smile never changed.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Lynn. I have very fond memories of Ms Gillespie as a very caring, supportive and welcoming teacher. I am now a retired elementary teacher and I still think of Ms Gillespie as one of the kindest teachers I have known. She will be sadly missed.

I remember Miss Gillespie. She was our PE teacher when we wore those awful red rompers. She was my Track and Field (more field than track) coach with a lot of patience for us all. She was very active with us as House reps for PSHS. She always had a kind and encouraging word.

Lyn was a true warrior of our Lord. She showed me how to behave to prepare for God. Each and every message she posted was filled with love and happiness.
I first met her in Canada when she picked me up in her boat. I spent several summers with her and the family in Canada. My beloved Katie introduced me to her family. Lyn always stood out as the greeter of the family. I was so privileged when she came to visit me in Missouri.
Love to all,
Bonnie
