I have such fond memories of Aunt Elva. She was blessed with a genuine , sincere spirit of caring for others. One of my dearest memories is the excitement we felt when she and her family would come to NB each summer to spend time with us. As the years went by and she could no longer travel, she would faithfully call. She always ended her phone calls with: "I think of you all in NB and pray for you all each day." At our family reunion, she so proudly gave a detailed history of the family. We all listened in awe as she shared memories of the earlier days. Her closing line was "Let us live our lives to the fullest and pray that we may be the kind of people our parents and grandparents would be proud of."
Our condolences to the family as you celebrate her life and know that your NB family are there in spirit and love you all dearly.
