Obituary of Florence Edith Martin

(nee Shotter) Peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Friday July 26, 2013 in her 95th year. Beloved daughter of the late William and Ivy Shotter. Predeceased by her beloved sister, Irene. Loving mother of Donald, Paul, and Irene Sweete. Cherished grandmother of Adrienne and Elizabeth Adams, Marcia and James Parker, and Donald Sweete Jr. Cherished great-grandmother of Courtney, Joseph, Tyler, Keegan, Cooper, Madison, Emily, Austin, and Paige. Florence was the first female officer from Bowmanville in the C.W.A.C. and was a proud veteran of WWII, a former member of the Whitby St. John’s Ambulance Corp, a former Whitby Girl Guide leader, and a member of St. George’s Anglican Church, Oshawa.
