1938 – 2016 With profound sadness, we announce Bert’s peaceful passing at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday May 5th, 2016 Devoted husband of Ria for 8 years. Much loved father of Ruth and Laura Martin. Cherished step-father of Nick (Julie) and William (Shannon). Dear brother of Vernon and Deborah and their families. Bert will be fondly remembered by all his family and many friends. Bert influenced the lives of many students during his career as a teacher, both in South Africa and Canada.
