Obituary of Donna Irene Marshall

Her final curtain call has sounded and she will dance no more. It is with great sadness that the family of DONNA IRENE MARSHALL(nee Read) announce her passing Dec 8, 2016 at Matthew’s House Hospice in Alliston after a brief struggle with cancer. Faeries, come take me out of this dull world, For I would ride with you upon the wind, Run on the top of the dishevelled tide, And dance upon the mountains like a flame. ~ W.B. Yeats Once a Blue Angel, she now dances among them. Donna danced her way throughout her life. Her joy of dance whether on skates in her early years, in the kitchen with her grandchildren, or on stage with her friends, will live long in our memories. A highlight for all of us was watching her dance at Roy Thompson’s Hall as a Blue Angel. Donna was a sister, wife, and mother. Born June 22, 1943, She spent much of her early life in Toronto. Her work life was spent with the Ontario Government where she worked diligently to ensure equal pay for women in the workforce. Predeceased by her husband Ken, and her sisters Betty and Jean, she is survived by her 4 children, Ken Marshall (Diane), Kerrie Perry (Warren), Kathie Carcone (Paul) and Krissie Murray (Danny). She will be greatly missed by her 9 grandchildren, Tony, Tyler, Michael, Samantha, Benjamin, Matthew, John, Shannon and Leslie, and 3 great grandchildren, Isabella, Denver and Avery.
