Obituary of Dr. Arthur Paterson Lee

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday December 17, 2013 Beloved husband of Heraldine. Cherished father of Eunice and Rosemary, and grateful father-in-law to Dr. Michael Lalli. During WWII, Arthur served with the Royal Corps of Signals, and later graduated from Edinburgh University and New College. He entered the Baptist Ministry in 1954, and faithfully pastored congregations in Scotland, Canada and in the United States. Dedicated to the preaching of the Gospel, he was invited to many well known pulpits. His concern for the spiritual needs of individuals urged him to establish the Boston Christian Counseling Centre, and to offer a daily radio broadcast from the historic Tremont Temple located in the city centre. During his time in Canada, he had been an enthusiastic founding member of the Toronto Spiritual Life Convention and of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. His passing leaves a rich spiritual heritage to family and friends. Death, he used to say, is just being “absent from the body and present with the Lord.”
