Obituary of Haroldine Jean Kinney

In Loving Memory of HAROLDINE JEAN KINNEY (nee Purvis) November 24, 1924 – April 28, 2013 Loving mother of Purvis and Angela Kinney of Edmonton and Sherry & David Shrives of Bowmanville. She will be missed by her 6 grandchildren; Heather, Jacqueline, James, Michael, John and Mary and her 4 great-grandchildren; Theo, Adeline, Jordyn and Zoe. Survived by her brother Alec Purvis. Predeceased by her husband James. James worked for the Bank of Montreal and he and Haroldine moved several times, making lasting friends in many communities. The family would like to thank Dorothy & the late Elwyn Dickey, John Raaphorst, Stuart Bourne, Stuart VanHeuvelen, Mark Borutskie, Dr. Hoy, Dr. Osborne, the amazing team at Kingsway Arms, the amazing dialysis team at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and the very compassionate care-givers at Sunnycrest Nursing Home in Whitby. Haroldine has had a long and interesting life. She was a good cook and homemaker, she did beautiful handwork, was a volunteer and a member of Kinettes, a keen golfer, and she loved her church. She always said, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything,” and she lived those words.
