Obituary of William Gordon Jewell

Peacefully passed away on September 20, 2016 in his 91st year, surrounded by family and friends. Beloved husband of Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Wright). Loving father of Boyd (2006) and William & his wife Susan. Treasured grandfather of Tess, Gregory & fiancée Amy, Erin, Kale and Scott. Brother of Margaret (Shea) McKeown (1999) and proud uncle to Maureen & her husband Ken, Brian (2014) and his wife Maureen, great uncle to Rodney & his wife Natalie, Lisa and great great uncle to Rory. Brother-in-law of Marion & her husband Frank, uncle to Michael and Christopher (2014). Bill lived in Durham for most of his life and moved to Ottawa in his later years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him for his sense of humour, his love of antiques, antique cars and car shows for which he won several awards and trophies, and for his fondness for Blue Jays baseball. He was an avid genealogy enthusiast as well as a tinkerer extraordinaire ~ a talent he passed on to his sons and grandchildren.
