Obituary of Joanne Hamers

(nee Kolsteren) Age 79 years Longtime CWL Member Suddenly, yet peacefully, Joanne passed away on Monday December 5th, 2016 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Beloved wife of Stan for 55 years. Loving mother of Cathy & her husband Ugo Chiodo, Gerald Hamers & his wife Colleen and Connie Hamers. Cherished Oma of Catrina, Alicia, Emma & Kate. Dear sister of Ben (Thea), Sjef and Jan (Annie). Joanne was predeceased by her parents Gerard & Johanna Kolsteren, sister Nellie (Jan) and brothers Matt and Gerard and sister in law, Netty. Her sisters in law, Maja Kolsteren, Sandra Kolsteren and Gidi Hamers as well as her many nieces & nephews and many, many friends will forever miss her.

Service

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Sunday December 11th, 2016 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 127 Liberty Street, Bowmanville, on Monday December 12th at 10 am. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Cancer Society or St. Vincent de Paul. CWL Prayer Service will be held on Sunday at 7:30 pm.
