Obituary of George Stephen Gibbs

In his 73rd year Retired from General Motors Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Sunday February 13th, 2011 Beloved husband of Joan for 50 years. Dear father of Randy Gibbs (Patty), Chelle Gibbs and Rod Gibbs (Annette). Best buddy Wayne Till. Loving Poppy & Grandpa of Devon, Mackenzie, Lyndsy, Erin, Spencer, Dakota and his great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Pat Thornett (Leonard) and predeceased by his sister Grace Alward. Dear brother-in-law of Sterling Alward and Bill Ross. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends through the Fiddle & Music Clubs. Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street N. Bowmanville on Tuesday February 15th, 2011 from 7 – 9 pm and on Wednesday February 16th, 2011 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday February 17th, 2011 at 1 pm. Cremation. Memorial Donations may be made to The Cancer Society.
