Obituary of Daphne Joan Fernie

nee Randall Peacefully at her home, Strathaven Retirement Residence, Bowmanville on February 13, 2016 in her ninety-ninth year. Daphne was predeceased by her husband George Fernie in 1998. She is survived by her step son Ian Fernie and her nieces and nephews Barbara Johns (Rick ), Christine Hall (John), Gavin MacKenzie (Sally Wright) and Lorna MacKenzie (Neil Schlotzhauer). She was predeceased by her nephew Raymond Fernie. Daphne is also survived by her good friend Margaret Wilkinson and Margaret's family. Daphne was born in England and emigrated to Canada where she lived and worked in Toronto for many years. She and George loved their years at Wilmot Creek and travelled extensively in North America. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Margaret Wilkinson for her kindness and assistance to Daphne over many years.
