Born March 17, 1922 in Toronto, Ontario
Deceased August 12, 2011 in Beaverton, Ontario
Predeceased by his wife Lois Adelle (nee Henderson), brothers Richard, Evans and sister Gertrude. Survived by brother William, sons James H., John (grandson Kieran & granddaughter Devon), daughter Andrea & husband Stephen Jowett (granddaughters Christina & Kathleen).
Pat was educated at St. Andrews College, Toronto before enlisting in the Ontario Tank Regiment, WWII (retired 1946), attended University at Lowell Mass., where he graduated with a BSc in Textile Engineering. He was involved in the textile industry for his entire career, working for his fathers firm, Richard Reade Davis. Following that he was at CIL, CEL-CIL Fibres, Canadian Celanese, and Monsanto Canada. Pat also lectured at Sir George William University in textiles.
Primarily located in Montreal, Pat finished his career with Monsanto in Mississauga, Ontario, where he was the Canadian Manager of Textiles.
Pat was a lifelong member of both the United & Anglican Churches and was active with the YMCA on a volunteer basis. He spent many summers at the familys home on Wards Island and was a member of the R.C.Y.C.
He was actively involved in numerous volunteer sporting organizations, including Minor League Baseball, Basketball & Hockey.
Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. Bowmanville on Thursday August 18th, 2011 from 12 - 1 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 1 pm. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to The Diabetes Association.
