We only know Irwin through the BOAA here in Bowmanville but every time I met him in the halls at the BOAA he always had a smile and was always joking. He had a great sense of humour. I was very saddened to hear of Irwin's illness and passing. My sincere condolences go out to Bonnie and their daughters, to Ted, and to the rest of the family. He was a great guy, an older cousin who long ago helped this nervous high school teen ease into his new bag-boy job at A&P. He will be missed.

It was my pleasure to know Irwin as a neighbour and as a co-participant at BOAA. He had a wonderful sense of humour. His courage and persistance taking exercise classes inspired me. He and Bonnie made the greatest scones at BOAA.
