Harold worked very hard, and built a beautiful life for himself. He deserved to sit back, and enjoy the luxuries he earned with his blood sweat and tears. He easily could have hired someone to do all the heavy lifting for him, but he chose to do all his own handy work, and maintenance for as long as he possibly could, and I really admired that about him. He was down to earth, modest, and above all - deeply grateful. I enjoyed every conversation I ever shared with him, and he was a funny, warm, kind and honourable man. He had a beautiful, admirable marriage, and I appreciated him and Joan’s banter, and humorous interactions. He was a loving father, and grandfather. His pride for his family radiated from him and I was so lucky to be part of his family for the past 12 years. I know he will be missed beyond comprehension. His kind, gentle nature continues to live on through his children, and they are so fortunate to have had a role model like Harold, and a real life superhero. Telling Harold to REST in peace after his long life of hard work and dedication feels inappropriate having known him, so instead I will conclude this by saying I hope you are as greatly appreciated wherever you are as you were here with us.
