Obituary of Harry Dean

Harry Dean passed away on August 14th, 2024 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville at the age of 84. Born on December 17th, 1939, in Stevensville, Ontario. Predeceased by his loving wife Anne Christine (Millar), parents Harry and Pearl, and sister Janet.
 

Survived by his daughter Jennifer (Herb) of Delta ON, son David (Erinne) of Bowmanville ON; grandchildren Dominique, Erik, Sebastien and Ava, step grandchildren Erika and Logan; great grandchildren Raelyn and Autumn.

 

From 1954-1956 Harry served in the Canadian Air Cadets, then on to serve in the Air Force Reserve for a year and a half (1956-1957).  In the fall of 1957, joined the Royal Canadian Air Force until 1963. 

 

Harry and his wife Christine married in 1967, they settled down in Toronto where Harry began his career repairing medical X-ray equipment. He was one of 3 owners of an X-ray repair business. Eventually his family moved to Bowmanville where opened his own X-ray diagnostics business. 

 

Harry will be sadly missed by his immediate and extended family and all those he has crossed paths with along his wonderful journeys of life.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24th, from 12:00pm - 1:00pm; service at 1:00pm at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home at 53 Division Street North in Bowmanville, ON (Parking off Wellington St).  Reception to follow at Trinity United Church, 116 Church St in Bowmanville.

Internment will be held Monday, August 26th at Bertie Brethren in Christ Cemetery, 4940 Church Rd, Fort Erie, ON.
