Obituary of Lou Doucette

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Louis (Lou) Henry Victor Doucette at the age of 71.  Lou departed peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa surrounded by his loving family. Lou put up a brave fight for a long time and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by Sharon Doucette (his real-life guardian angel who never left his side), his son Steven Doucette (Amanda), stepdaughter Sylvia Giorgio-Nolan (Ryan) and his daughter Cynthia Doucette.  He was a grandfather of 8, and an uncle to many nieces and nephews. Lou is predeceased by his parents Jean and Joseph Doucette, and his sister Rose Marie Geisel.  He was a brother to Joanne Barnes, Jean Black (Robert) and Michael Doucette.  He treasured his time with family and friends.
Nascar has lost their biggest fan, although now, Lou might just have the best seat in the house!  The family would like to thank the incredible Doctors, Nurses and all support staff in the Critical Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

 
A celebration of Lou's life will be held on Sunday, August 25th, from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home at 53 Division Street North in Bowmanville (Parking off Wellington St).
