Firstly, I remember Jim playing the piano during the opening of our Lions Club meetings. Jim set the tone for many of our club meetings when I was a Bowmanville Lions club member and still does in my memory..."Everyone up for the Lions Song".
A donation in Jim's memory has been made to the Lions of Canada Fund for LCIF. Please accept my condolences.

I adored Jim absolutely, as did everyone who ever met him. What a deeply generous, kind and charitable soul he had with a little twinkle in his eye when he would say something he knew was a little rascally but by any other standard was not. I knew Jim through our work together at Courtice and also through the church and was always happy for a chance encounter out in the community where we could share stories of our most recent adventures. The world was blessed to have him in it and we all porrer for his passing. He will be deeply missed and I am personally incredibly sad he has left us. Much love and grace to his family (which is extensive) during this difficult journey of grief. Aileen Fletcher~

Jim was my host during a Lion’s Club summer camp in 2008. Coming all the way from Denmark, Jim welcomed me in his home and was an amazing host for the entire stay. I’ll always think fondly about Jim as a joyful, helpful and kind human being, always meeting other people with a smile and respect.
He played a big part in igniting my love for travelling, as he personally demonstrated, how a stranger is most likely just a friend, you haven’t gotten to know yet. I often think about Jim, when I go travelling or meet new people from other countries.
I’m sad to hear that he has left us, but it makes me appreciate my times with him even more.
All the best to Jim’s family.

So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. We were colleagues and friends at CSS. Like everyone who met him, I remember Jim as kind, gentle and it seemed always in good spirits. When I saw his picture here his voice and smile were in my mind as he greeted me as we passed in the hall. He always was genuinely pleased to see and greet you.
It has already been said but Jim’s presence was felt in the world. He made a difference, something we should all aspire to.
He will be missed.

Jim was one of the first people we met when we joined Maple Grove United. He loved to laugh and hear a good story. He was a down to earth, but talented person, who loved gardening and made great pies. He is with our Lord now, and I know we will meet again. God bless all his family and friends.
