Peacefully left us on Friday March 29, 2023

Loving and proud mother of Lydia (Jim), daughter in law Cathy and “son” Olav.  A dear and caring grandmother to Robert, Chase, Alea, Alex and Emilie and a great grandmother to Oakley and Sage.  Predeceased by husband William “Bill”, daughter Martha and sons Michael and Mark.

Barbara was a 63 year resident of Orono as well as a dedicated, hardworking, no nonsense nurse at the Bowmanville Memorial Hospital for 17 years.  She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

A thank you to the staff of Hillsdale Terraces who made Barbara’s last days comfortable.

At Barbara’s request there will be a small family gathering in remembrance with interment in Orono Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Salvation Army or CNIB.
