Marijke; Most shocked to see of John's passing. As you know I have many fond memories of our times both social and at Earl's auctions. (Those were the good times)! Our thoughts are with you and the family. I always enjoyed talking to John about antiques and wood working. He was a wealth of knowledge and very willing to share with others. We have lost a good soul. We know he will be missed. May he rest in peace. Love Dave & Val Reesor

I saw John last month on my walk by your house with my dog Scout. After we talked about our family members, he always asks "And how are you doing?" I am grateful to John for those chats and the friendship he has shown to my parents for over 40 years. My sincere condolences to the Cunningham family for their loss.

Marijke ...I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. He never forgot our EA days and always had a smile and a chat from the front porch, To all your children I know how much you will miss him. It was a joy to know most of you from school and then to get to know your kids too as the next generation was amazing. Thinking of all of you on this Easter Weekend and the days to come.

Savana and I will so miss our regular chats with John. Savana always sat down on our walk, if John was out, insisting we go up to the porch so he could give her some love . He was a kind soul and a big heart in our neighbourhood. I am deeply sorry for this huge loss in your lives.

Marijke and Family,
May your many loving memories give you comfort now and in the days to come. In the words from Winnie the Pooh, " If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me within your heart, I'll stay there forever". John will remain with you always within your hearts and memories.
Thinking of you!

I first met John outside Central Public School while we both waited for grandchildren to get out of school 11 years ago. He always had his dog with him so my grandson would want to walk down Wellington with him.
I also sometimes chatted on Facebook with him later.
My sincere condolences to the family.

Our sincere condolences to John's family. I (Henry) first met John in Grade 7 in the old one room school in Maple Grove. I was new to the school and we became good friends. After school, we would walk home along Hwy. 2 and stop at Beech's Convenience Store (not there anymore) for penny candy, etc. I enjoyed the many recent times I would sit with John on his porch to reminisce and was hoping to do the same this summer. John will be sadly missed by all who knew him. May your memories of John live on in your hearts and minds forever and may he rest in peace. With deepest sympathy, Henry and Barbara Pokorski

Our condolences on John's passing. I have many wonderful memories of our holidays that always started with John and Marijke. The first memory of John: we were going to go camping. John asked if I wanted an ax and I replied that I would buy eggs on the way.

So sorry to hear of John's passing . I was a friend through Facebook model railroading groups and made a few purchases from him in the past. We chatted often. He was a nice guy and I even named the hobby store on my HO layout after him a few years ago. Rest in peace, John.
