Obituary of George Mulder

George William Mulder

(October 14, 1964 - March 7, 2024)

George Mulder passed away after a courageous battle with his mental health on March 7th at age 59.

George will be remembered for his big heart, generous and honest personality. He would help his friends, neighbours, and family out anytime. George was a loving and supportive husband, father and grandad and would light up every time he was with his grandson, Owen. He instills a legacy of the importance of truthfulness, hard work, and gratitude in all who loved him.

George retired from General Motors and was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Nascar. He was a jack of all trades and could fix your vehicle or build you a house, but you would never ask him to fix your phone or computer. George loved spending time outdoors and was often found driving around on his tractor, cutting firewood, building a massive bonfire, or enjoying time on his property. Sitting and enjoying a nice cold beer with a scenic landscape, spending time with his family, or cruising on his motorcycle or Jeep brought him joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Engel and Froukje Mulder, his sister Joanna and brother-in-law Tim.

He is survived by Susan, his children Kristi (Tom) and Jeff (Alexis), his grandson Owen, his siblings Trudy (Gord), Aeilko, Alice, and James (Tina), and his dog Sadie. He will be forever loved and missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to meet him.

Soar like an eagle!
