Obituary of Cecil Williams

Cecil John Williams

December 28, 1930- January 27, 2024

Cecil “Greaser” Williams passed peacefully, surrounded by family at the age of 93, on January 27th at Glenhill Strathaven. He is predeceased by his loving Grandson Nick, parents Percy and Wilma, brother Bill and sister Joyce.

Cec was a loving and devoted husband to Noreen, his “Neen” for sixty- five years. Dedicated father to Tara (Chris); Richard (Shelly) and Patrick (Wendy). Proud Poppa to Mandi; Brandon; Jaclyn; Nicholas; Brittany; Jagger and Luke. He is fondly remembered by his Great Grandchildren, extended family and friends. Our family would like to thank Glenhill Strathaven for their loving care of Cecil over the years. A special thanks to his “Angel” Julie, who gave Cec the utmost compassion and care right up to his final moments. After Forty- seven years at General Motors in Oshawa, Cec retired and spent his golden years on Belmont Lake in Havelock. He and Noreen spent many wonderful years there, hosting many friends and family and making memories to last a lifetime. Greaser and Neen sure knew how to throw a party!

Poppa, we know that you will find your way back to Belmont and we hope that you and Nick save us a seat on the boat. Until we meet again, all that is left to say is… PLAY BALL!

A Catholic Mass with light refreshments to immediately follow, will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 127 Liberty Street South, Bowmanville, on Thursday February 8th, 2024, at 11:00am. Cecil is to be cremated with arrangements entrusted to Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home in Bowmanville, Many thanks to Cory and his team.
