Leah, Thomas, Samantha and Ted’s family,
I was shocked and so saddened to learn about the passing of my Uncle Ted.
He was great fun to be around at family events and for that reason I always gravitated toward him. Ted was smart as a whip, down to earth and very interesting to talk to.
Knowing the pain of suddenly losing a parent, my heart breaks for you both Thomas and Samantha. You are undoubtedly experiencing despair to new depths. It is very important to understand that each passing day this will decrease a tiny bit. So small it’s difficult to notice, but it still happens. As time passes, the sorrow, that was once so intense, softens and eventually is completely replaced with warmth and love amidst fond memories. All in time, this will happen, my promise to you both.
I’d like to offer my deepest condolences to all of Ted’s family. Travel is difficult as I’m managing an extended illness and I am unable to attend the service to pay my respects in person.
