Ron and family
Jan and I were heartbroken to hear of your loss. The service and the Celebration of Life that followed were a wonderful tribute to Nancy. We have so many fond memories of 20 years of cross country skiing, cycling and socializing with you both. Nancy was such a warm, kind and generous person and it was a privilege to be part of her life.

Auntie Nancy, your loss is felt so deeply by all of us. We love you so much and will cherish the memories that have been etched into our souls. I will miss your kindness, warmth, your sweet voice and the way you were able to light up everyone's day. I will hold dear all the family get togethers, the nice chats, the lemon squares, the times spent with you, and especially that time you reached out to me during a very emotional time in my life and helped me through it. You put my worries at ease and gave me reassurance and love at a time of uncertainty and despair. It was an incredibly selfless and kind gesture that I will never forget. That's exactly who you were; a selfless soul; a beacon of light who helped others find their way out of the darkness. I love you, Auntie Nancy. You will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Rest in peace, Auntie Nancy.

I had the pleasure of being in her company many times over the years at weddings, showers and joint Singer/Coulson gatherings. Ron and family, so sorry to read about Nancy passing. Nancy and I worked together at Canada Dry for many years. She was a wonderful caring person and we worked side by side for years. We have kept in touch on Facebook ans she always sent me photos of her kids and grandkids. We met Ron and Nancy on hwy 48 a few years ago and she gave me some diabetic items she was not using and I used them for our diabetic cats. She was a kind and caring lady and I will miss her emails. She looks the same as she did many many years ago. She will be in my prayers.

The Coulson family was blessed when Nancy became a part of it. Nancy was such a loving, caring, giving person, who put her family first. She was gentle and soft spoken and never had a negative thing to say about anyone. Aunt Nancy and I worked in the same classroom at G. L. Roberts. Her kindness and support of the students in the class was genuine. Nancy sincerely cared about people and making their lives better. Nancy came into the family when I was around 5 or 6 years old. I am now 60 and Aunt Nancy has never failed to send me a birthday card or call me on my birthday. It’s the “little” things Nancy did that made her an outstanding human being. Baking some lemon squares, bringing over a warm banana bread or making the family an unbelievable Lasagna during our yearly Killbear camping trip. Ronnie, Mike and Leigh -An, and all of your family, I am so sorry for your loss. We love you and are here to support you in any way we can.
Love you, Rich, Cheryl, Kendra, Harper

It’s very hard for me to accept that you’re gone, my dear sweet Auntie Nancy. It hurts so much to say goodbye to you. The Coulson family will not be the same without you. I have so many loving memories with you and that is what I will have to hold on to in order to get through this. I keep seeing your sweet smile, feeling your gentle hugs, remembering laughing about stories we shared, I loved that we “talked” on facebook and messenger almost daily. I wanted to always help you and make sure you were ok. I was so happy when the family was at Killbear and you and Uncle Ron would come there to be with us or we would come to your house in McDougal to see you and have some of your delicious soup, cheese bread and apple cake. You always were the most comforting soul and wanted everyone to be taken care of. I don’t want you to be gone. It’s not fair what happened to you. You were too good of a person to be taken away from us. I will always love you Auntie Nancy, and don’t you worry, we will make sure Uncle Ron is ok and has everything he needs and lots of love and support. To my cousins Leigh-An and Michael, we love you so much and are here for you for whatever you might need. I am going to miss you terribly Aunt Nancy. I will remember you with a smile on my face and love in my heart because I know that you don’t want us to be sad. It will just take time because you were so very special to everyone. With all my love, niece Lisa.

It's very hard to accept. I don't know how to make sense of it. The family will have an emptiness without you. I will forever hold on to and preserve so many precious family memories you helped make so special - remembering the fun backyard family gatherings and cozy Christmases on Martindale. I'll always hold close how special you made me feel when I'd sleep over, and you would give me the option of cotton or flannel sheets. Auntie Nancy, you were the sweetest soul ♡

I miss you so much Aunt Nancy ❤️ You were such a kind and gentle person and treated the whole family so lovingly. I remember my dad and I came over for tea while we were camping at Killbear on a rainy day, and I was very curious about all the family photos you had hanging up in the house. When I started asking questions about who the photos were of, you took me upstairs and explained each one, which I really loved. I will always remember the amazing meals you cooked for us in the summers at Killbear. Our dinners with you and Uncle Ron were always a magical staple in our Killbear holidays. I love you so much. You’re everything a Great Auntie should be!

Thank-you to the Coulson family for sharing Nancy with us. We are so sorry for your loss. Nancy was always looking out for us. This summer thinking of our Grandchildren giving them the coolest ‘70s era Tupperware play set she found in storage and only weeks ago running the “sag” wagon for a beautiful fall ride (remembering to bring jujubes my favourite ride treat.) Our family has been very saddened and shocked, by our beautiful sister-in-law, and Aunts sudden passing. Nancy has been in our lives for almost 58 years. We’ve shared a lifetime of memories, adventures, holidays, and visits. Our families have been so close and we have always been within a moments reach. Nancy was so giving, and caring, and couldn’t do enough to help,at any occasion We camped, and spent holidays and special events as one big family, whenever we could. Ron and his beautiful family, will be facing difficult days ahead, and we want them to know we will support them and be there to help anyway we can. We will miss you Nancy and always love you.

Aunt Nancy,
I have so many memories of you going back 50 years. I loved growing up with Mike & Leigh-An, as cousins we all spent so much time together. I recall many afternoons and weekends in our pool, at Grandma & Grandpa’s house on Sheppard Avenue, camping and at your home in Oshawa. You and Uncle Ron were always so welcoming and we had many wonderful Doughty gatherings at your home in Party Sound. You always had the best gear for the kids to play on; they loved that inflatable trampoline. I’ll never forget how encouraging you were when Dawn started to get into cycling and racing, all your years of cycling allowed you to share some unique tips and tricks which we appreciated so much. You also showed so much love on Facebook, commenting on every photograph that I posted of our family trips or events; it was a great way to keep in touch especially through the covid years when we couldn’t get together in person. You will be forever missed and our family gatherings will not be the same without you. Love you Jennifer, Adrian, Dawn and Isabelle Gill xoxo

Dear Aunt Nancy,
Not sure why things happen the way they do but I am truly grateful Aunt Nancy for having you in my/our lives. You were so lovely from the first time I met you. You were easy to talk to, have a laugh with and just be with. You hosted my Coulson family wedding shower and baby showers for Kendra and Harper. You helped me make homemade stockings, my first married Christmas to Rich, which we still use and that will always remind me of you. You and Ron were frequent visitors to Rich's and my first house as we lived down the street a few blocks from you; you always came with baked muffins or banana bread and were always eager to help with the babies, either with feeding, changing or just holding them. When you moved to Parry Sound, the tradition became visits at Killbear or to your warm home on Mill Lake where we would go for a paddle, swim off the dock, bounce on the inflatable and have a nice homemade meal. The family weekend at the Killbear Lodge is a recent sweet memory. Nancy, I admire your zest for embracing many of Ron's interest with such enthusiasm, that you became so skilled and proficient in them all from sailing, kayaking, cycling and cross country skiing. You were a proud mother/grandmother and fiercely loyal to your family. You were a very conscientious and hard working EA with the DDSB for many years. You have always been reliable, dependable and authentic. Just a few weeks back you made sure to get the special copy of To Kill A Mockingbird for Harper from our favourite Parry Sound book store; that we have been waiting years for them to come across. You made sure to pick it up quickly and get it to us. I really appreciate and love you Nance. I'll hold you close in my heart as you carved a place in there a long time ago. Cheryl xoxo
