We are sorry for your family’s loss. Jean was always so thoughtful. I remember her phoning the night before if she wouldn’t be driving the bus so Zak would be prepared in kindergarten.

We are saddened to hear of Jean's passing. She was a strong community minded woman. We have fond memories of her driving the school bus, participating in WI meetings and being a force behind the Salad Suppers and Beef Dinners. She made the best potato salad. Although we are unable to attend her funeral please know that we will be thinking of all of you and send our love and deepest sympathies.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother, Pauline. I will always remember the generosity of your mother when she took me in for those 6 weeks of our physio placement in Oshawa General Hospital. She was very kind and I remember that time fondly. Keep all her memories in your heart. Karen Bretzlaff

Always a kind smile and a happy laugh at school and community events and at Solina social gatherings. A warm wave when passing her on the road in the school bus; regardless of the weather. Mrs. Taylor will be missed. Heartfelt condolences to Francine and the entire Taylor Family. God Bless Mrs. Taylor. Karen Vaneyk (Perth, Australia)

Jean was definitely a pillar in the Solina community. I have many fond and funny memories of her driving myself to school from kindergarten to grade 6 and then she drove all of my children to school for the same. My one daughter used to fall asleep on the way to school every afternoon ( back when Kindergstden was half day) and Jean would carry her off the bus to the JK room. She handed out treats to all the kids at Halloween, Christmas and year end. When she retired I wrote a poem for her and read it at her retirement assembly to thank her for all the extra things she did for the kids and parents.
Hold tight and cherish all the wonderful memories of her.
Rest in peace Jean.

Jean Taylor was truly a pillar of the community of Solina and Eldad United Church. Her participation and friendships that she built and nurtured are a true testament to her devotion. I will always remember the car driving on the "wrong" side of the road to deliver mail to the individual and group rural mailboxes in and around Solina.
Furthermore, she was the only bus driver I had to and from school from the fourth grade onward. She not only had to put up with me, but also my older brother James, and his sons Brandon and Colin. She will forever be a fondly remembered by us when we share our "growing up in Solina" stories.
I feel privileged to have been befriended by Jean and Bruce's children and family and will always be grateful for that.
Fondly remembered with utmost respect from the Baker Family of Solina,
Catherine

To the Taylor family so many memories of your mother from driving the bus and delivering the mail. She would remind me to keep the snow cleaned up by the mail boxes. It was also a surprise to have both your parents show up at our farm here in Alberta on a trip out west. Our prayers are with you all.

Thank you, Jean. You were a force for goodness, kindness and hard work. I was fortunate to be accepted as an extra kid for awhile and I marvelled at your generosity and hospitality. You have more than earned your rest. May it be peaceful and your memory be a blessing always.

Always remember her chuckling at our Shenanigans when we landed in her kitchen the odd time collecting Kevin or Francine for one thing or another .
She ALWAYS played into a joke shaking her head and getting a kick out of whatever we had up our sleeve for Tomfoolery ! Jean was a wonderful lady !
Condolences to the entire family
