Dear Phil, Rebecca, Jillian and family, my deepest condolences to you All. It so difficult to capture the numerous fond memories, experiences, anecdotes and essence of your Dad, Robert. I remember my days working at the adolescent unit with him ( and all the other CCW’s). His expertise, caring & love of working with adolescents is beyond extraordinary. I also remember sitting around the Benner dining table enjoying countless meals and enjoying Robert’s fine meals and certainly his home made soup! Also, out in your driveway many times laying under a car with Robert changing oil or replacing the brakes at your house on the Third Concession Street. He was such a big gentleman both in physical stature as well as in his heart. Yes, a gentle giant. No one could tell a story like Robert. I could go on - and - on but, but, suffice to say he will be dearly missed, he certainly left a huge legacy, was dearly loved and he loved you guys dearly! Barney Bangay

Oooo Barney! Thank you for this beautiful memory! Indeed he was a Gentle Giant and full of so much love! Those were lovely times on Concession St and I can speak for Phil and I when I say, these memories sustain us during this difficult time. The world grew a little colder when his light went out…
