Obituary of Ernest Charles Brown

Peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2015, Ernie Brown passed away at the age of 89 years.

Dearly loved husband and best friend of Geraldine for 69 wonderful years. Loving father of Ernest Jr. (Laura), Randall, the late Mark (Carolyn, Dave), and Catherine (Dan). Best-ever Papa of Kirsten, Lydia, Laura, Claire, Jordan, Emily, Joshua, Alison and Ted. Luckiest great-grandfather ever to Nolan, Mallory, Leo, Simon, Violet, Fiona, Nathan, Annika, Brad and Charlotte. Ernie also will be dearly missed by daughter-in-law Maureen, extended family and many friends.

Ernie, a WW2 RCAF vet, retired at 52 years young from Aetna Canada. With Jerry by his side he enjoyed over 30 winters of fun in the sun at their treasured home in Palmetto, Florida, and spent happy summer days surrounded by grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their home in Cobourg. Ernie enjoyed tennis, lawn bowling, visits to the Red Barn, concerts at the bandshell, and sharing donuts with his grandbabies. Most of all he loved long walks hand in hand with his beloved Jerry.
