Henry de Jong
With his daughter by his side, Henry passed away at Oshawa Extendicare on Saturday July 29th, 2023 at the age of 88 years.
Henry is survived by his wife Sarah and predeceased by his wife Helen. Loving father of Audrey Fels (Bruce Ottenbrite) and cherished Opa to Eric. Dear brother of John (Cathy) de Jong, Tom (Judie) de Jong, Sid (Jackie) de Jong, Ida (Bill) Tymchuk and Teresa (Bev) Brereton. Predeceased by his brother Pete (Connie) de Jong. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and the Meima Family.
Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville on Monday July 31st from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held at REHOBOTH CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 130 Scugog Street on Tuesday August 1st at 11 am. Private Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Durham Region Cancer Centre.
