Obituary of Denise Cecelia Oburota

Denise Cecelia Oburota entered eternal rest on June 6, 2023 at Lakeridge Health due to complications from multiple infections leading to septic shock.

Family includes her late mother Gwyneth Oburota, 3 children, Nalene Hibbert, Marcus Hibbert and Leroy Hibbert 3rd. Her brother Colin Martin and sister Alicia Samuel.

She was born on May 19, 1981 at Women's College Hospital in Toronto, ON. Denise loved to spend time with her mother as a child. She would leave the daycare centre at 4 years old and walk to Bathurst Heights where her late mother worked. Gwyneth would lay her jacket on the floor behind her desk and Denise would sleep peacefully. Denise would cry at grade school to go home to her mother.

Denise had a lot of compassion and loved animals growing up. She would be so upset if one of her pets became sick, hurt or died that her mother decided it best to stop having pets. Denise attended TCI for high school where she met her former husband and they had 3 lovely children together.

Denise was a survivor, surviving breast cancer, cirrohsis of the liver and other health ailments with the help of her mothers prayers. She loved to try new recipes and within the past year, she reformed her diet and  started making healthy meals, cleansing her body, exercising and doing breathing techniques. Her focus was on improving her life.

Her unexpected and sudden passing came as a shock to everyone and leaves a void with her famiy and community that will be felt for some time.
