Dear Lynn, (Coach) Jim, Parker and Ceileigh,
Our heartfelt support and condolences on the passing of dear Papa Donald, please know he was Papa to us too!
Sitting together with Papa and Lynn at Iroquois arena watching Parker, Bradley and Andrew play hockey together proudly coached by Jim Donald are the most treasured memories we have as a family. I would seek out Papa Donald to sit with him to watch the games, sharing in his passion and knowledge was the highlight of these games for us all. I felt important sitting next to Papa.
My favourite of all was his coaching from the stands "FORWARD!!, FORWARD!!! What are we doin' lads?!"
Dear Lynn and Jim take immense comfort and joy in how HAPPY these games made Papa, Papa wouldn't be anywhere else.
My own Dad died 2 years ago so I feel your pain losing the patriarch - as my Dad would say Never forget where you come from, humble beginnings make the strongest people because of the hardships they have gone through.
Papa Donald lives on through all of you and we will miss him. Anastasia, Rob , Andrew and Bradley Principato

I met Alex in 2003 when me and my boys moved in next door to him and Betty. They were wonderful to us from the very first day and always kept an eye out for us. One early memory was when there were some baby bunnies nesting beside their house and he called the boys over to see them "Look at the wee bunnies" he said to them in his Scottish accent. My boys thought it was so funny to hear that accent and my youngest still repeats it when we mention Alex, accent and all. I will miss our chats in the backyard and his music on a sunny day. Our family offers our deepest condolences to the Donald Family. Rest in Peace Alex.
