Mabel Amelia Trimble
(nee Vanstone)
Born September 21, 1934 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto. She was raised in Bowmanville, living in two homes before settling on Sunday September 1, 1940 to 63 Liberty Street South and that became the homestead for over 80 years. She died peacefully in her sleep April 13, 2023. Sister of Marion, Curtis (late Carrol) and Debra (Brian). Wife of the late John F. Trimble and the late Kenneth Ubsdell. Loving mother to Elroy, Bradley (Kathy), Clint (Lynn), Julie (Chris), Kelly (Larry), Curtis (Beth), Elaine (Scott) and Betty-Jean (Ross).’Gran’ to Michelle (Kenny), Penny, Stanley (Phyllis), Jena (Rob), Meghan (Tyler), Emily, Amy, Craig, Cory, Jeremy (Brittany), Andrew (Melissa), Taylor (Steven), Rachael (Dustin), Rebecca (Jeff), Zackery, Miranda, Cora (Jesse), Chelsey (Daniel), Karli (Jesse), Nicole, Janae (Marshal). Great ‘Gran’ to Kyle (Abby), Breanna (Jordan), Michaela, Aslin, Amelia, Ila, Reece, Phoenix, Kingston, Liam, Annistyn, Berkley, Dani, Ellie, Jameson, Travis, Vivian, Jackson, Emma, Maddux, Grace, Myra, Claire and Jase. Great Great ‘Gran’ to Finnley. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Florence Vanstone (nee Kelly), daughter Marcy, granddaughter Emma and brothers Vince and Winston Vanstone. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends from BC to Newfoundland, especially Haliburton.
Mabel will be remembered for many things but especially her love of hockey, country music, singing, quick wit and one-liners.
A celebration of life will be held in Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home Thursday April 20, 2023 at 1 p.m. visitation, 2 p.m. funeral in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bowmanville Memorial Foundation.
