Dearest Mary Ann and Colt,
Jean and I first met when she retired. We were doing Communion liturgies for the Residents of Marnwood Long term Care on behalf of St. Joe's. We had fun together serving their spiritual needs. She was a very humble person. We got to know each other. Yes, we made each other laugh. Her former employer offered her more work. I forget what happened. Obviously Jean was very much appreciated.
Jean and Allison volunteered to help anyone out if they had a need. Their phone numbers were in the St. Joe's bulletin. One day I felt extremely weak. I didn't know but I was dehydrated. I phoned Jean up and immediately she took me to Emerg. They admitted me. Sweet Jean went back to my home and brought my emergency bag back to me. I will always remember Jean for her humour and wicked laugh, her generosity and kindness at the drop of a hat and her friendship.
The last time I saw Jean we were both parked at McDonald's. We were both savouring our coffees in our cars in the cold and having a "prayerful" moment. We had a good laugh out of that.
Rest in peace dear friend. How's the coffee in heaven?
Love,
Chris Patel

Dear family, I’m very sorry to hear about Jeans passing. It was always a joy to see her, and read her Facebook posts. We had great visits a Balsam Lake when my late Mom Jean Perkins (her first cousin) would organize get togethers. Below is a picture with my sisters Nancy, Patricia and Martha taken a few years ago. I’m sorry I can’t make it to the memorial. I wish you all a very good visit with her loved ones and friends. She was a beautiful person.
Love, Ruth Perkins

It has taken me a few days to write this note, heavy heart but I know Jean is at peace.
They broke the mold when Jean came into this world! Jean always had a smile and a laugh that was infectious and always was the aunt that delivered on fun to the extreme. Jean would take us everywhere, drive-in, ice-cream, camping, anything for all us cousins, it's how she rolled!
Each of us have so many great memories cause she was busy at living life and if you were lucky to be around you knew it was going to be a good time!
Jean loved all unconditionally. In my lifetime I can honestly say I don't know anyone who was more giving of their time, energy and willing to lend a hand to all who needed it!
Jean had the biggest heart and always thought of others and in that big heart was the strongest love a mother could have for her daughter and her family!
We are going to miss you Jean, saying bye for now and will think of you when the sunrises and sets in our beautiful days here on earth! Look forward to seeing you again! Rest in Peace xo Love xoxoxoxoxo Kath
