Obituary of Lois Noreen Yellowlees
Yellowlees, Lois Noreen (nee Larmer)
May 15, 1925 – March 25, 2023
It is with breaking hearts that we share the passing of Mom - Lois who peacefully slept away at Victoria Manor, Lindsay in the early hours of March 25, just shy of her 98th birthday.
She was born & raised on a farm in Blackstock and moved in the late 50’s to a farm north of Solina where she & her husband Harvey raised their family & shared their life. During her years as a public school teacher she touched many lives. She was an active & involved member of the Solina Community through The Hall, Women’s Institute & The Silver Set and with Eldad United Church – the UCW, Choir & Sunday School.
Lois was the wife of the late Harvey Yellowlees & is lovingly remembered by her children - Karen Dair (Don), Brenda Metcalf (Ron), Janice Boyd (Ed), Dennis Yellowlees (Karen) & Wayne Yellowlees (Mette). Her Grandchildren - Sara (Terry), Michael, Nancy (Dan), Tim (Terri Anne), Kimberley (Peter), Emily (Spencer), Christine, Bill (Amy), Dan (Alexis), Jennifer, Elizabeth (Jag), Martha (Brett), Emma (Ryan) & Thomas and her Great Grandchildren – Kassidy (Ben), Jacob, Miranda, Rylan, Jack, Kieran, Ruby, Noah, Madison, Emmett, Blake & Kayleigh. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Marion Larmer. Lois was pre-deceased by her siblings – Ralph, John, Beryl & Glenn. She will be missed by her many nieces & nephews & all who knew her.
