Obituary of Adriaan Moelker
Adriaan Moelker
Adriaan Moelker began life April 16, 1930 in Zeeland, the Netherlands. He immigrated with his parents and most of his siblings to Canada in the early 50's, settling in the Trenton area. It was here he met and married Johanna, living for a few years in a rented house on a farm. They moved to Bowmanville where Adriaan got a job as a maintenance man at the local foundry. Until his retirement, he faithfully walked to his place of work every morning at 6:30 to begin his 7:00 shift. Shortly after retirement they moved to Durham Homes in Whitby to begin a new journey in their apartment. His wife passed away in November 2009 and Adriaan continued living in Whitby for a few more years until moving to Hamilton to be close to his son.
Adriaan was a friendly man, who loved his garden, sharing life with his wife, camping, and simply enjoying God's creation. He lived with an intense faith that never waivered.
Adriaan is predeceased by his wife Johanna, and daughter Jean; and survived by his son Len (Anita); grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa, Mark (Carrie), Ivan, Marleah (Tim), Laura (Chris), Justine, David (Ang); and thirteen great grandchildren.
Well done oh good and faithful servant.
