Dear Muir Family,
I wish to extend my sincerest condolences at the loss of your father & husband. I especially wish to extend heart felt best wishes to Sean & Ian both of whom I came to know when they attended Harmony Heights PS. Both boys played marvellously on my last day at the school. I am certain that they have continued to attain greater accomplishments since their long ago departure from HHPS. Best wishes & kindest thoughts to each member of the Muir family. Well deserved indeed!

My condolences to Joanne, Sean, Ian and Colin. Ken was one of a kind! I was fortunate to have coached Sean and Ian when they played baseball ( GO BAKER PARK!!! ) and when I first met their father I instantly liked him! It wasn't too long before he invited me to drop by 'the garage' for a wee sip! I'm glad that I did drop by for that wee sip ( or three ) and to see him jump on the skins .. what a crazy good drummer!! I will always miss the days of baseball and Ken's dad Dave helping the team out .. he was passionate about the game. I also wish I had dropped in more often whenever the garage door was open, but I always gave a honk!! Thanks Ken for all that you did in your job, as a father and a friend! Cheers!

To the Muir family sorry to hear of Ken's passing. He was a childhood friend but we lost touch when i moved away. His passion for hockey and especially the Bruins is fondly remembered as we played many road hockey games in the parking lot of Dunvegan Ave. Hell we even used to pile in his mom's car, hockey equipment and all (i think it was blue car) and pretend we were on a road trip from one hockey city to the next. GAME ON we used to say!

Ken, I always enjoyed our interactions at work and was impressed with your skills as a Paramedic. Your sense of humour was legendary at Durham Region EMS. It was good having you on my crew. You will be missed but never forgotten. Rest easy.

Kenny has been a good friend for over 30 years, he was liked by all who met him. He could and would always leave a smile on your face. He loved playing his drums and one of the best times I’ve had in a long time was jamming with him and his son Sean last year, was hoping to do more. I will miss my dear friend, love ya.

Kenny could make anyone laugh, and it was hard to resist his efforts if he wanted you to. I still remember his ‘cheerleader dance’ while standing behind a Supervisor who was having a very serious conversation with me about a recent accident I’d had at work. It took everything I had to not burst out laughing, which would not have been a good idea. After the Supervisor left he gave me a pat on the shoulder and said “You couldn’t have picked one of the Ford’s, nobody likes those” and quietly walked away.
A personality larger than life, and heart twice as big.
It was a pleasure to have known him, and a privilege to have worked with and learned from him.
He will truly be missed.
My deepest sympathies to those who loved him.

Sorry to hear about Kenny. Always had a smile and a joke any time we met on the job. He was always practicing with his drumsticks on his down time around the base. He was very talented and a great guy to have as a friend and co-worker.

A few actually,
But I think that {all of you} will like the one with the song -All of Me-
It describes how Ken helped me with a world class program for youth.
God Bless Joanne.
