A grateful memory. Dave hated mechanics taking advantage of women. Many years ago, the rad blew in my car. I received a ridiculous quote from a garage to replace it. When I ran the quoted price by Dave, he jumped out of his chair, cursing the scoundrel, asked for the keys to my car. Later that day my rad was replaced, car running fine for an amount of money less than 1/5 of the quoted repair. Dave had gone up to Art Robinson's Auto Wreckage, retrieved a used rad and installed it himself. That was back in the day before computers ran our vehicles and the back yard mechanic existed! :)
Deepest sympathy to Dave's family, cherish your memories, they live on forever in your heart, keeping your father with you always.

My dad Jim has been in Fairview lodge for the past couple of years. David was a person at my dads meal service table and one of the few on the floor he could have dialogue with and always cherished the times David came for a meal. He will be sadly missed
