I have such fond memories of Doreen and the Barrie family. We have been blessed to be part of the great Providence Community with you. Our families’ lives have been intertwined for over 100 years, spanning over 3 generations; being great neighbours and friends in every facet of our lives.( Farming, school, church, and community. ) My Mom and Dad, Doug and Ethel and Gord were just waiting for Doreen so they could carry on with their card and tea parties, picnics and reflecting on days of yore. Our sincerest condolences go the Barrie family on Doreen's passing. The entire family were such wonderful neighbors when we lived in the Shaw's community back in the early 1980's. Marlene has many fond memories of the conversations that she had with Doreen whenever we had occasion to meet. Please know we are thinking of you during this time of sorrow. We hope that the many fond memories that Doreen creating during her lifetime will help you during this time of loss.

"Doreen was a dear friend of Bill and June Bragg. Doreen and June would talk on the phone everyday to chat about their lives and their families. This photo was taken when Doreen dropped by to bring the Sunday Church Service Program. Bill was too ill to go and of course June was staying with him. Doreen would have a visit. Doreen did this every Sunday until she could no longer drive. Doreen was one of the kindest, most thoughtful people we have ever met. She always put others before herself. " Our condolences to you all.
