My sincere condolences to Jerry's family and friends. I have only met Jerry and Renate on a couple of occasions. They had purchased some Tyrone T-shirts to support the Benevolent fundraiser and to wear to the reunions. When I delivered the shirts we had a wonderful visit. I have no idea how long we chatted on the lawn but they were certainly two of the most kind and lovely people that I have ever met. I am sorry that they are gone, but am thankful that I had the pleasure to meet them.

It was with genuine sadness that I learned of Jerry’s passing. Although not unexpected, it was still a blow. Jerry and I met as coworkers in the lab in 1966 but soon became good friends. While I appreciated his skills as a scientist, I appreciated even more his genuine kindness and caring as a person. Just prior to Christmas, Jerry and I had a lively phone conversation where we remembered the many good times shared at work and at play. We remembered the dinners, the dances, and the poker games. I always enjoyed the time Jerry, Renate, Gloria, and I, shared together. We also spoke of the importance of family, especially during challenging times and the joy of watching the next generation grow. Although not able to attend the service in person, I am thinking of Jerry and his family and all who are remembering him today. With sincere condolences, David and Gloria Glutek, London, ON

Having worked with Jerry for nearly 20 years there are a lot of memories that we share of him and will always stay in our hearts. He was one of the best bossess that anyone can dream of and he was one of the best human beings I have ever know. You will always be missed Jerry. Rest in Peace. Renu

Jerry came to Tyrone Public School SS#18, everyone loved him as he was always happy, smiling and got along with everyone. Jerry came to our Old Gang Reunions along with his wife, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. He was unable to attend last September due to wife in hospital and his illness. I loved my visits in person and on the phone, with Jerry. You will be missed by all who knew you. Rest In Peace Jerry. Cecile & Ralph Bowers
