I was saddened to read of the passing of Linda.
I worked with Linda during her years with the Peel Board of Education. Remembered fondly, she was a dedicated teacher and a valued staff member with a wonderful understated sense of humour. There was also a twinkle of mischief in her that helped her relate to some of her students. Her patience and skill helped some of the needier students find success.
My deepest sympathy to the family.

Dear Jim, Kendra, Robin and all their families, Andy and I were saddened to hear of the passing of Linda. She holds a place in many of our memories, especially in our younger years. Weekends away with the gals where we ate laughed and played trivial pursuit until the wee hours....she was so knowledgeable....knew most of the answers. Lots of mixed parties and birthday celebrations ...Linda always an enthusiastic participant.
I am sure everyone is comforted by knowing that her family was by her side in her final years.
Fond regards, Cathie and Andy Gellatly

Linda was like an Aunty to me growing up. I was in & out of their family houses all through my childhood as Robyn & I have been good friends since kindergarten. I still remember the Falconridge Cresc home near the LP library where I had some of my first sleepovers & birthday parties as a kid. Then later the Ruscombe Close house where so many of my childhood memories were based. Swimming in their pool, playing Marco Polo & hide & seek in the yard, cabana & crawl space. I remember Linda in her bikinis and big sun hats by the pool, playing the piano in the family room and baking her famous banana and carob muffins that I loved so much. She was always the healthiest of Mums that I knew from that era as there was never any junk food in their house - more sunflower seeds and carob chips … and she was often off riding her bike or on cross country skiing day trips in winter. The thing I remember most about Linda was her fantastic & infectious laugh! I can hear it now as I recall her regaling us with stories from our childhood when I’d visit as an adult at her Boulder Creek house - or when I would run into her with my mum or kids in Rattray Marsh when I was visiting from overseas & where she was often found walking & enjoying the birds, wildlife & nature. She will always be intertwined in my fondest memories of the good, old heyday of my childhood in the 80s in Lorne Park & Clarkson! My thoughts are with all the family. Take care! X Stephanie

Linda,
Always helping the kids learn and grow. You welcomed Edward with open arms and for that, among other things, I will always be grateful. Love you.
