John was such a sweet, kind and gentle person. Always smiling and friendly. His neighbourhood parties at the Tiki bar welcomed everyone. Whenever you needed a helping hand, he was there. We'll miss you so. Rest in peace. Liola Limeback

Our neighbourhood will never feel the same again without John Phil waiving at everyone as they pass by, or a calm and friendly chat. He was a kind and gentle man always willing to help everyone, often seen cleaning snow from driveways, cutting lawns, walking dogs, giving rides. We were so sad to hear the news of his passing and our condolences go out to his family.

Lovely John, you were so kind and helpful when I moved in across the street eight years ago. You helped me out so many times with Tessa, and you gave the best tight hugs with your famous words "Hey beautiful lady". It has been heartwarming to know that two great men passed on the same day, and I know you and my dad are watching over me together. Rest easy St. John.

Dear Jason, Gerry and family. We want to send our deepest sympathies during this sad time. We will miss John (Mac) and have so many memories to keep in our heart. We will fondly remember his quirky smile, dry wit and his generous nature. He travelled all over the world but every time he came to visit us in the Buckhorn area, he got lost!.
