I had the pleasure to work with Marilyn while she volunteered with Hospice Durham. Her compassion, knowledge and strength were a soothing balm for the families she supported. She took on a cancer support group with her client Mel, Happy Trails became a reality thanks to her commitment. Marilyn was always good for a laugh, her eyes twinkled in telling jokes and her smile lit up a room.
Her loss will be felt by many , most of all by her loving husband Butch and family. I have fond memories of seeing Marilyn and Butch always holding hands. Sending sincere thoughts and condolences to all who loved Marilyn, she will be greatly missed.

Just heard about Marilyn’s passing. While I have been gone from Bowmanville a long time, I did want to acknowledge how much we appreciated the support Marilyn was to my mother (Ena Etcher) at the time of my dad’s passing more than 20 years ago.
