Obituary of Deborah Jean Benner
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Deborah “Nan” Jean Benner (née Ramsay). Deborah was a kind soul who dedicated her life to the service of others.
As a psychologist Deb worked with struggling teens to help them find peace and happiness in their lives. She cared for everyone she met and always helped in any way she could. Family was the most important thing to Deb and we are all so grateful to have had her in our lives.
We will all miss her desperately. She was taken from us far to early after a short fight with pancreatic cancer.
Deb went with love, in the company of her caring children Rebecca and Phillip at the Bowmanville Lakeridge Health Hospital on Thursday May 19, 2022 at the age of 69.
Deborah leaves behind her soulmate and husband of 36 years Robert, her children Phillip (Sharon), Rebecca, Jillian (Todd), her siblings Scott, Wendy, Beryl, Cheryl, Kim, Bruce, and her many nieces and nephews. Deb will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Christian, Eric (Joy), Andrew, Alex (Shaylee), Gianna, Katherine, Christopher, Julian, Cameron, and Sarah. Deb was predeceased by her parents Helen and Victor Ramsay of Charlottetown, P.E.I.
A celebration of life visitation will take place at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home at 53 Division St, Bowmanville, Saturday May 28, 2022 at 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
